The Story Behind BioPhysics Essentials

I founded BioPhysics Essentials in 2018 while finishing my degree in Biology and Neurophysiology. What started as a deep dive into gut health research during college became a company by the time I graduated in early 2019.

The problem I kept running into was simple: even the "clean" probiotic brands were filled with magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, and cellulose... ingredients that had nothing to do with gut health and everything to do with manufacturing convenience. I wanted something without the compromises, so I started formulating my own.

What began as a personal project became something bigger when friends dealing with sensitive digestion asked to try what I'd made. Their results pushed me to go deeper, researching probiotic strain diversity, soil-based organisms, prebiotic synergy, and why most commercial formulas underdeliver.

Seven years later, that research is BioPhysics Essentials.

I'm Nicholas Wunder, founder and formulator. My background is in Biology and Neurophysiology, and I built this company on one principle: every ingredient earns its place or it doesn't go in the bottle. No fillers. No lubricants. No compromise.

What Makes Us Different

Most probiotic brands use fillers like magnesium stearate (a machine lubricant), microcrystalline cellulose, and titanium dioxide to make manufacturing easier and cheaper. These ingredients take up capsule space that could go toward actual probiotics — and some raise questions about long-term safety.
